Filmed way back toward the start of my songwriting journey on January 26th, 2017, I am playing my Penco A170, named Penny. I bought her new in 1977 using every cent I had. I even liked “Penny” enough to put a deposit down and come back a month later with more money. She is still in close to perfect shape. She will always be one of my favorite co-writers!
In Lie To Me the verse starts off with an E5 chord followed by an E(no 5) then a D5 and a D(no5). That gives the song a unique sound and feel that I haven’t heard many times in my experiences. Also The chorus feels fresh to me. Anyway That is what I like about this song. Currently the song is on hold because I don’t really like the lyrics. But one day…
